The partners at Dessen, Moses & Rossitto have a simple philosophy with regard to the practice of law. They believe that everyone is entitled to high quality, personalized legal services provided at reasonable rates, in the most effective and efficient way possible, a philosophy that is the product of their experiences with clients and the public over the last two decades.

David S. Dessen began practicing law in 1973, Bonnie Smith Moses in 1978 and Samuel Rossitto in 1980. Their firm, DM&R, is built on the belief that with dedication, efficiency and innovation, their firm is able to provide individuals and businesses with high quality legal services for reasonable fees. Over the years, the Firm has helped tens of thousands of clients with various legal matters, ranging from highly complicated civil litigation matters through matters as simple as small claims cases.

In addition to traditional individuals and business owners, many of these clients have come to our firm because of their membership in a group and prepaid legal service plans such as the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers Legal Service Fund, Hyatt Legal Services and The ARAG Group.

Dessen, Moses & Rossitto's dedication to quality at reasonable prices has helped the firm grow to its present size. Mr. Dessen and Mrs. Moses are well known and respected in the legal services community. They have been regular attendees and speakers at educational conferences sponsored by the American Pre-Paid Legal Services Institute (API) and Mr. Dessen is a former API board member. Mrs. Moses has been chair of the annual educational conference of API since 2000. The partners act as consultants for other attorneys and law firms that are servicing prepaid and group legal plans. Also, Mr. Dessen and Mrs. Moses act as consultants for unions and other groups that are interested in organizing such plans for their members. Mr. Rossitto's career has focused on alternative dispute resolution, and he lectures frequently on mediation and other legal topics.

The Firm's Mission Statement is: "Dessen, Moses & Rossitto is a full service general practice law firm which provides the highest quality legal services and counsel to our clients as quickly and economically as possible. In so doing, we resolve to listen to our clients and keep them fully informed. We will employ teamwork and state-of-the-art technology to help our client achieve their goals." This is what the firm tries to do on a routine basis. We strive to listen to our clients' concerns. We always try to keep our clients informed about their cases while we work to resolve their matters in the most favorable way, as quickly and economically possible. This is how we define quality, and this is what our clients receive.

We also believe that we must do more than just help those who are able to pay us a fee. We believe it is our responsibility to share our knowledge with others in the community so they can more effectively deal with the legal issues they face. Many of our attorneys regularly participate in educational seminars and speak to various groups and organizations. Bonnie Moses teaches Business law at Arcadia University where she has been an adjunct faculty member since 1982. Students from local Universities intern in our offices to learn how law firms operate. In addition, high school students regularly visit our offices to learn about careers in the law.

DM&R's commitment to the communities serviced by our five law offices is shown by our civic support as well. For example, several of our attorneys serve on the Boards of Directors for various civic and charitable organizations. Under the auspices of VIP, a program of the Philadelphia Bar Association to provide free legal services to the indigent, we have provided hundreds of hours of free services to people with domestic relations and other problems. In recognition of the contribution of time by our lawyers, DMR has been honored by the Philadelphia Bar Association with a Chancellor's Award in 1998 -2003 and the Brennan Award in 2004 and 2005. In addition, several of our attorneys have received awards personally from the VIP organization.
